Description

Notes From John

BPM = 78, in 4/4. The Intro prints “rim” and “tambourine/hh” over its notes, with one-bar repeats. Verse 1 at 0:12 under “I was walkin’…” sets hat eighths with x notes on the snare space, then brings in kick eighths. The Choruses under “Oh, there ain’t…”, “There ain’t no…” and “You know there…” keep the hat eighths over a syncopated kick, with circle marks from the second Chorus on. Verse 2 under “Not even fifteen…” adds snare on two and four with circle marks, and ends on a half-bar rest. The Solo at 1:50 runs the Chorus groove. Verse 3 under “Well, now a…” moves to sixteenth hat figures with circle marks and ends on a half-bar rest. The last Chorus ends on a single x note below the staff, then rests. The section boxes carry the record’s timestamps.
