Description

Notes From John

BPM = 144, in 4/4. The Intro opens f on a snare pickup into a crash-and-snare groove. Verse 1 at 0:14 under “Get your motor…” prints “accent hi-hats on beats”. The Pre-Chorus under “Like a true…” moves to crash quarters and ends on a cymbal swell. The Chorus at 1:20 under “Born to be…” is spaced crash hits and then a snare-roll groove. The Solo prints “hi-hats loose”, Verse 3 prints “hi-hats normal”, and the Outro returns to “hi-hats loose” and ends on a crash and kick. The section boxes carry the record’s timestamps.

For the player

Jerry Edmonton plays drums on the track. Accent the hi-hats on the beats in Verse 1. At BPM = 144 the job is the feel.
