A strum part in tab, 4/4 at BPM = 149, low on the neck. The intro, verses and outro strum D, G and A7 in eighths, with muted X chucks written into the pattern. The choruses switch to straight eighths on G, A, D and Bm7 with no muted strums. Down and up strokes are marked at the start of phrases, and sections close on a single short down-strummed D.
For the player
The two patterns are the whole job: chucked strums in the verses, straight eighths in the choruses. Ride each gear change as the song moves between them, and keep the muted chucks short so they land with the backbeat. Stop clean on the short D at the end of each section. At BPM = 149 the job is the feel.
