For the player
Dr. Elmo. Swing eighths are marked — BPM = 218. The chorus is the cross-stick figure. It opens at 0:04 and comes back the same way. The verses are where the open hats are written — bark the opens. Kicks stay where they’re written. Intro hits cold. Listen first; at BPM = 218 the job is the feel.
