BPM = 119, in 4/4. The Intro and most of Verse 1 are written as rests, and the drums enter on an mf snare-and-tom fill in the last bar of Verse 1. Verse 2 sets the groove: hi-hat eighths, the snare on two and four and the kick on one and three with eighth-note pickups, with drags (two grace notes) into some snare strokes and open-hat notes at phrase ends. The Choruses are marked f, open with a crash and add more drags, bracketed snare notes and crossed-circle hat marks. The Interlude at 2:25 is crash-and-kick hits on one, marked mf, with a sixteenth fill across the snare and toms. The Bridge returns to the groove and ends on a crash under a fermata, where the tempo drops to quarter = 73, marked “rubato”. The slow section at quarter = 45 and 80 is written as rests up to a fermata and “a tempo” at quarter = 119. The Re-Intro at 3:41 is marked mp, with snare-and-tom eighths under a crescendo hairpin into the Out Chorus at f. Play the grace notes as drags: the pairs of small notes before snare strokes in the verses and Choruses are drags, and the bracketed snare notes beside them are a separate, quieter voice. The tempo marks change after the Bridge, so read the quarter = 73, 45 and 80 markings and the “a tempo” before the Re-Intro. At BPM = 119 the job is the feel.
