The first Chorus and Verse 1 at 0:33 keep that figure, and Verse 1 ends on a bar marked “simulate castanets” with R R L L sticking over bracketed x sixteenths. The Chorus after Verse 1 is marked mf and “cross-stick”, with cymbal and kick figures and x notes below the staff, then hat eighths over the kick. Verse 2 is marked mp and adds kick and snare figures, and the last Chorus is marked mf with a “cresc.” on the hat eighths.
