Goo Goo Muck – The Cramps – Song Breakdown
Melody
A spooky melody that has both sung and spoken parts. The singing vocal range is B2-G4.

Keyboard
There isn’t a keyboard part to this song, so I made one up based on the guitar. It can be played on piano, electric piano, or pretty much anything.

Lead Guitar
Poison Ivy’s surf guitar part. You’ll want that twangy tone and lots of (most likely) spring reverb.

Rhythm Guitar
Just about every live performance and instructional video for this song shows different ways of playing it – some with more open chords, some all barre chords, and one even tuning the guitar to open E. I went by what the recording sounds like (with cues from early videos) – both open and barre chords.

Strum Guitar
There isn’t a strum guitar in this song, so a part was made up that goes along with the basic rhythm.

Bass Guitar
According to the credits and live videos of this song, there is no bass guitar – the low end being the lower strings of the rhythm guitar. It does, however sound like there could be a separate “bass” part in this recording which mostly matches the rhythm guitar, but sometimes varies a bit. It could also just be the rhythm guitar, but since it’s mixed in and doused in reverb, it’s not always easy to make out. I did do this part listening only to where the “bass” would be.
